Progress and Poverty explains how the idea of land ownership combined
with taxation upon labor and production inevitably causes Progress to
lead to Poverty.

History shows us that often the worse abject poverty exists right in
the shadows of towering progress.

It is primarily public services (such as public highways and
utilities) that most increase the value of land. Public services do
not increase wages for labor or profit for production, yet it is from
taxation upon wages and production that public services are funded.
Taxation on land ownership itself is minuscule compared to the
taxation upon wages and production, yet it is land ownership that
benefits the most from these public services paid for primarily from
taxes on wages and production.

This inequity begins to compound as land speculators increase the
price of land by resulting in the lowering of the amount of wealth
left over for labor to claim in wages and profit for production. Not
only is labor wages and production profit reduced by these taxes to
fund public services, but now those same public services causing
wealth to be funneled into land speculation thereby lowering labor
wages and production profit. As should be obvious, this can only lead
to the collapse of enterprise, resulting in business depression and
widespread unemployment, foreclosures, etc.

Geoism would solve this inequity by eliminating all income, sales and
property taxes, and replacing them with a rent on natural resources
such as land, and a sale of natural resources such as minerals. In
this way, people who wish to use land will have the incentive to use
it in a productive manner, thereby employing labor and creating
wealth, OR to allow others who could and would themselves use the land
in a productive manner. Public services would be funded from these
rents and sales of natural resources, and any remaining revenues
collected would be equally distributed as dividends among the
citizens. Labor wages and production profits would no longer be
burdened by taxes that fund public services which actually result in
the lowering of wages and profits. The level of wages and profits
would rise, and the dividends would ensure no one need suffer poverty.

It is time to burn Mexican flags.

So, unions used to tell their members that they were against the
powerbrokers. But, look at the unions under Obama. He IS the
powerbroker. Yet, they are meeting with him, carrying his water,
silencing their members, accepting concessions, and telling their
members to shut up instead of speaking FOR them to the President or
government industry leaders. This betrays their integrity.

When you show me a union that was opposed to Bush and is opposed to
Obama, I'll believe they mean what they say. otherwise, it's just a
political cover for the Democrat party.

amazing... that sort of laxity, ignorance, non thinking and absurdity
seems to be going rampant in the culture at large also.... and none of
the other teams complained? !

Now to insure I stay the NG over the edge list... several people saw
this coming, one the Robt Openheimer, father of the atomic bomb, in
his book published in 1945.. and detailed some of the tactics and
reasons for dumbing down the US school systems 1945. 'The Open
Mind' still available used on Amazon... following on that, and
employing many of those tactics and more according to some supposedly
defected Russian KGB agents, was their 4 step program to ruin its
adversaries from the inside out by perverting a culture. You can
find those vids on you tube.

that agent says there is no way to change such a persons mind even on
the most rediculous errors..they simply go blank. I have not
confirmed that, but here with these races we have prime examples...
btw he also says that today the US is doing most of this damage to
itself.

It might be worth some investigation since it is likely to be your
boss or your clients or the police operrating in that fashion that can
ruin yer entire day.... thats also in progress with the latest batch
of insane laws.

also see the new book just out 'PLUNDER, how civil service unions
have plundered Americal into bankrupcy, ruin, rot, failed education
and wide open border...' (i tweeked the title a bit) (with civil
service wages now seen to be double the private sector, much for zero
production or worse, to destructive ends, and with retirements at age
50 or earlier 5 to 10 times what the private sector who pays for all
that corruption gets.

Yea, but INCREASING deficit spending doesn't seem to right way to go in
order to balance the budget.

I fully expect the 2011 budget to top $4.5T before it's all said and done
seeing as how Congress started spending it a full 3 months before the new
fiscal year.

NATO is a mercenary army without a NATION, the problem is that NATO has
no mission so they have no patriots that believe in their cause. They
fight because otherwise they have no reason to exist.

America should have abandoned NATO years ago when Clinton re-tasked it
to be world police.
