Democrats can't afford war or the NATO mercenaries in peace.
Since the Democrats want to leave Afghanistan because we can't afford
the cost of this war then the Democrats should also want us to *leave*
the NATO mercenary army, we can't afford the cost of maintaining an
international mercenary army in peace since we can't afford them or our
military in war.
The analogy would be owning a Ferrari and then not having the money to
buy insurance to put it on the road.

We should not be spending trillions of dollars on a military to fight
foreign wars, do humanitarian work, get involved in other countries'
business all over the world, or do anything but defend the nation. We
could save literally trillions of dollars if we did not get involved
in everyone else's business. Why is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,
the Balkan conflicts, the Somali situation, or any of these other
problems any of our business. We are bankrupting the country by these
involvements. If we didn't take sides in foreign conflicts,
terrorists would leave us alone and we'd save trillions more.
"The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in
extending our commercial relations to have with them as little
political connection as possible....'Tis our true policy to steer
clear of permanent Alliances, with any portion of the foreign World."
--George Washington
"Peace, commerce, and honest friendship, with all nations - entangling
alliances with none....Our first and fundamental maxim should be,
never to entangle ourselves in the broils of Europe."
--Thomas Jefferson

Because your god says killing is better then helping no matter what
blanket you throw over it?
